Consumer Expectations Versus Reality for Holiday Shopping Experiences
Glassbox has released insights from its "Digital Holiday Shopping Experiences: Expectations vs. Reality" survey. The study reveals the evolving consumer shopping landscape focusing on digital and mobile channels. The data indicates that consumer expectations largely aligned with actual behavior during the Cyber Weekend, emphasizing the importance of brands and retailers meeting customer expectations for a seamless, personalized shopping experience.
Key findings include:
• 63% consumer engagement via mobile apps, exceeding the 57% expectation, and a significant satisfaction rate of 80% among those who shopped via mobile apps.
• Although 31% expected TikTok to influence their shopping, only 13% made a purchase on TikTok during Cyber Weekend.
• Personalized product recommendations and flexible return policies emerged as crucial factors for a positive shopping experience.
